By using this site and mobile application called “HyTools App” and sales platform called “IMI online web store” (together, the “website”), you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this Cookies Policy. You will have seen a pop up to this effect on your first visit to this website; although it will not usually appear on subsequent visits, you may withdraw your consent at any time by following the instructions below.
After your initial visit to the website we may change the cookies we use. This cookie policy will always allow you to know who is placing cookies, for what purpose and give you the means to disable them so you should check it from time to time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that a website or online service saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the website or use the service. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences, such as language, login, font size, and other display preferences over a period of time so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you return or browse from one page to another. Those cookies are set by us and called first party cookies.
We may also use third party cookies – which are cookies from a domain different than the domain of the website you are visiting – (such as Google Analytics) to track web statistics.
More specifically, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:
- Assisting you in navigation;
- Assisting in registration to our events, login, and your ability to provide feedback;
- Analyzing your use of our products, services or applications;
- Assisting with our promotional and marketing efforts (including behavioral advertising)
Session cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session and are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies remain on your device after the browser is closed (for example to remember your user preferences when you return to the site) for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.
These cookies do not collect or store any personally identifiable information. You can refuse the use of cookies or you can opt-out of each cookie category (except strictly necessary cookies) by clicking on the “cookie settings” button.
The types of cookies we use
Below is a detailed list of the cookies we use on our website and a brief explanation of their use:
- Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the website and use its features. Without these cookies, services you have asked for (such as navigating between pages) cannot be provided.
The website currently uses the following strictly necessary cookies:
WordPress:
On login, wordpress uses the wordpress_[hash] cookie to store your authentication details. Its use is limited to the admin console area, /wp-admin/
After login, wordpress sets the wordpress_logged_in_[hash] cookie, which indicates when you’re logged in, and who you are, for most interface use.
WordPress also sets a few wp-settings-{time}-[UID] cookies. The number on the end is your individual user ID from the users database table. This is used to customize your view of admin interface, and possibly also the main site interface.
WooCommerce:
To keep track of cart data, WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies:
- woocommerce_cart_hash
- woocommerce_items_in_cart
- wp_woocommerce_session_
The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.
